In February 2017, Zurich’s old town welcomed a new culinary venture: the Widder Garage. This unique space, once used for horse-drawn carriages and later for guest parking, transformed into one of the coolest bars in the city, serving as the temporary home for the renowned Widder Bar during its renovation. The project was completed in just six weeks, featuring stickers from tyre manufacturers and gas stations that pay homage to the locale’s history. The interior includes bookshelves filled with vinyl records, glittering disco balls, eclectic furniture and a bar made of four adjoining pianos. Even the Widder Bar’s signature wooden ram statue with three heads became part of this distinctive design, created in close collaboration with the five-star boutique hotel Widder.
